The Linda Lindas have moved into a new label chapter. The L.A. punk band has signed to Reprise/Warner Records and shared Burning Out, a new single released with a Nathan Castiel-directed video. The track is streaming now through the band's official service link, and YouTube lists the clip as The Linda Lindas - Burning Out (Official Music Video) on the band's official channel.

Lucia de la Garza ties the song to the strange emotional lag after graduation. In the release, she says Burning Out felt both new and nostalgic because it came together after high school, during a week-long writing retreat in Palm Springs. That tension suits the band: The Linda Lindas still write with the snap of a group that can make a chorus feel immediate, but this one leans into the moment when freedom and drift start looking like the same thing.

The single follows No Obligation, the band's second full-length, which arrived in 2024. FEMMUSIC describes that record as pushing their L.A. punk base through post-punk, garage rock, power pop, new wave, and rock en espanol. Burning Out keeps that range in play without sanding off the nervous spark that made the band click in the first place, and the clean label-change headline gives the song more weight than a routine one-off drop.

The rollout also comes with four listed fall dates: three West Coast shows with Bleachers in September, then an October appearance at Tom Morello's Power To The People Festival in Columbia, Maryland.

For a band that has spent the last few years turning youthful velocity into sharper songwriting, the Reprise/Warner move reads less like a reset than an expansion of the room around them. Burning Out is the first marker from that room, and it sounds like they know exactly how unsettled a new start can feel.
