L7 are preparing to shut down their reunion era. The Los Angeles band have announced The Last Hurrah Tour, a 2026 run across the United States and Canada billed as the first leg of their farewell world tour.

The dates arrive more than a decade after L7 returned to the road. Their official site frames the band as founded in Los Angeles in 1985 by Donita Sparks and Suzi Gardner, with Dee Plakas on drums and Jennifer Finch on bass and vocals. That lineup’s legacy is still weirdly hard to reduce: punk, metal, noise, pop, grunge-adjacent bite, and a live reputation that made a lot of cleaner bands look like office furniture.

Pitchfork reports that L7 are calling the run the “first leg of their farewell world tour.” Sparks put the long goodbye in perspective, writing, “When L7 decided to release a documentary in 2015, we thought maybe we would take one last victory lap around the sun by playing some shows. Instead, that lap turned into eleven more years of touring, sweat, new music, and reconnecting with the fans who made this all possible in the first place.”

She continued, “Looking out into the crowd seeing longtime supporters rocking out next to a new generation of L7 fans has been the most powerful and humbling part of this chapter. We are deeply grateful and ready to give our audiences one last, loud, fun, and hopefully unforgettable night of rock & roll.”

The farewell framing makes sense without feeling embalmed. L7 reunited in the mid-2010s, released the documentary L7: Pretend We’re Dead, and eventually put out Scatter the Rats in 2019, their first new album in 20 years. The point was never just nostalgia; it was proof that their particular brand of filthy, hooky refusal still had teeth.

The fall portion begins October 9 at Walter Studio in Phoenix and closes November 14 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Before that, L7 also have summer appearances listed, including June dates with Amyl and the Sniffers and a July stop at Sjock Festival. If this is the last lap, it is at least a properly loud one.
