Chanel Beads has added another warped preview to the rollout for Your Day Will Come, the second album from Shane Lavers’ New York experimental-pop project. “Dust in the Wind” is out now with a new video, and the song arrives alongside a fall North American tour that starts September 12 at Philadelphia’s First Unitarian Church.

The track is a collaboration with Isaac Eiger, whose Strange Ranger history already sits near the part of the indie-rock map Chanel Beads likes to fog over. Jagjaguwar’s own album copy frames Your Day Will Come as a newly expanded version of Lavers’ project, still built around synthetic sounds, real instruments, and vocals that blur the edge between intimate and unreal. “Dust in the Wind” fits that: it is pretty, unstable, and slightly sickly in the light, like a pop song remembered from a bad sleep.

Pitchfork notes that the new Your Day Will Come is out June 26 via Jagjaguwar and, yes, shares a title with Chanel Beads’ 2024 debut. The label is treating that as a feature rather than a clerical error: Secretly Store calls it “a completely new body of work,” not a part two or a rehash, with catalog number JAG487 and green vinyl exclusive to the shop.

The fall run includes support configurations with Mechatok, Ivy Knight, Anastasia Coope, Urika’s Bedroom, and Car Culture. Exclaim lists tickets going on general sale Friday, May 29, at 10 a.m. local time, after ongoing presales. Before the North American dates, Chanel Beads also has Australia and New Zealand shows in early June; the current itinerary ends October 30 at C2C Festival in Torino, Italy.

The North American routing is a good tell for where this project lives now: First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia, Outset in Chicago, Neumos in Seattle, the Fonda in Los Angeles, and Knockdown Center in Queens. That is not a tiny-room curiosity anymore, but it still feels tied to the underground rooms that made the project interesting in the first place.

This is the lane Chanel Beads has been carving since the first Your Day Will Come: not quite a band, not quite a solo bedroom-pop thing, and too textural to reduce to algorithmic “experimental pop.” “Dust in the Wind” keeps that tension alive, and the live dates should make the new record’s bigger, more collaborative architecture easier to read.
