Swervedriver Will Play 'Raise' Front-to-Back on 35th Anniversary Tour

Swervedriver are taking Raise back out on the road. The band has announced a 2026 North American tour celebrating the 35th anniversary of their 1991 debut, with Consequence reporting that they will play the album front-to-back at each stop.

Anniversary-album tours can feel like tidy nostalgia machines, but Raise is not really a tidy record. It sits in that early-’90s shoegaze zone where the guitars are huge enough to blur the horizon, but the songs still move like rock songs rather than clouds of texture. That is why Swervedriver have always occupied a slightly different lane from the dreamier end of the scene: more road noise, more engine heat, less floating away.

The tour starts with already listed May dates in Denver and Wells, Nevada, then picks up in earnest on the East Coast and Midwest in August before moving west in December. Consequence says the set will include Raise in full plus a “load of extra nuggets from the back catalogue,” which is probably the correct way to sell a Swervedriver anniversary show: the album is the anchor, but the detours are part of the point.

Tickets are currently available through a BrooklynVegan presale using the code BVraise35, according to Consequence, with general on-sale beginning Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster and the band’s website.
