Static Dress have announced a short run of intimate UK shows under the Panic Room V4 banner. The three-date run follows the May 29 release of injury episode via Sumerian Records and puts the band back in sub-250-capacity rooms almost immediately after the album lands.

That scale matters with Static Dress. The band’s whole visual and narrative universe can feel enormous from the outside, all codes and cinema and damage smeared across the walls, but the music works best when it feels physically close. Panic Room has been part of that mythology since early in their career: small spaces, maximum pressure, no comfortable distance between the spectacle and the bodies in the room.

Rock 'N' Load reports that the shows will be presented by Outbreak in association with Rough Trade. Tickets go live at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, May 8. The run starts June 3 at Audio in Glasgow, continues June 4 at Kazimer Stockroom in Liverpool, and closes June 5 at The Black Heart in London.

The timing also makes these more than warm-up dates. They are billed as the first performances since injury episode's release, which means some of the album’s material should get its live debut in rooms small enough to make every wrong turn feel intentional. For a band this invested in tension and world-building, that is the right kind of risky.

injury episode continues the lore around Rouge Carpet Disaster while pulling closer to lived experience. The announcement describes the album as a response to trauma, loss, and the strange point where a fantasy world starts crossing into the people making it. It also marks the first full-length Static Dress project with musical contributions from all four members: Olli Appleyard, Vin Weight, George Holding, and Sam Ogden.

Static Dress have never sounded like a band interested in simply scaling up. Panic Room V4 is a reminder that their best version of ambition still needs a low ceiling, bad sightlines, and the feeling that the walls are sweating with you.
