The Psychedelic Furs Plot Late-Summer U.S. Tour Dates with Living Colour

The Psychedelic Furs are extending their 2026 U.S. calendar into late summer, and the back half of the run comes with a sharp support pairing: Living Colour. The dates begin July 31 at The Amphitheatre at Canyons Village in Park City, Utah, and run through September 6 at Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theatre.

The new routing is the more interesting half of the Furs’ year on paper. Their already-announced May and June dates lean on We Are Scientists; the late-summer stretch shifts into a different kind of conversation, pairing the Furs’ glossy, bruised post-punk romanticism with Living Colour’s hard-rock precision and funk-metal snap. That is not a nostalgia package so much as two bands that made the Eighties feel stranger than radio usually allowed.

The Psychedelic Furs’ official shows page now lists the summer dates, with Living Colour marked on most stops beginning August 2 in Arvada, Colorado. Living Colour’s own site confirms the pairing and says the band will be “out on tour with the Psychedelic Furs July 31st through September 6th.”

There is one notable wrinkle in the listing: the Buffalo stop on August 14 at Outer Harbor Live at Terminal B is billed with Violent Femmes as well as Living Colour. Charlotte on August 28, Jacksonville on September 2, and St. Petersburg on September 3 appear on the Furs’ official itinerary without the Living Colour notation, while Living Colour’s own announcement frames the full July 31 to September 6 window as the tour.

For OTA readers, the draw is less about a greatest-hits lap and more about how durable this corner of alternative rock has been. The Furs’ best songs turned sax-smudged melancholy into arena-sized hooks without sanding off the anxiety. Living Colour, meanwhile, made virtuosity feel politically awake and physically dangerous. Putting those catalogs in the same room should make for a stranger, heavier bill than the average summer amphitheater package.
