Fat, Evil Children have a summer run on the books, and it is the kind of routing that makes more sense the longer you stare at it: a handful of West Coast dates with Lowertown, a compact East Coast headlining stretch, then two August shows with Wunderhorse. The Los Angeles band posted the dates on its official site, listing 12 shows between May 26 and August 6.

That is a useful little snapshot of where the band sits right now. Lowertown’s warped indie-pop and Wunderhorse’s blown-out guitar-band momentum are not identical lanes, but Fat, Evil Children make sense between them: scrappy, melodic, a little sideways, and clearly built for rooms where the crowd is close enough to see the seams. The official listing identifies the band as based in Los Angeles, California, and links out to Bandcamp, Spotify, and Apple Music for anyone catching up before the shows.

The Lowertown dates begin May 26 at Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco, which the venue-facing Local Groove listing also confirms for 8:00 PM with Lowertown and Fat, Evil Children. The rest of that West Coast stretch hits Santa Ana, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Phoenix before Fat, Evil Children head east in July for Chicago, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Cambridge.

The final two dates put them in bigger support territory with Wunderhorse: August 4 at Denver’s Bluebird Theater and August 6 at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. For a band still moving through the discovery circuit, that is a smart pairing. It gives them low-ceiling club dates where the set can breathe, then drops them into rooms with a different kind of guitar-rock audience.

The practical part is clean, too: every date on the band’s site includes a ticket link, so there is no scavenger hunt through half-updated venue calendars. For a new band trying to convert curiosity into bodies in rooms, that matters more than people like to admit.

If you are trying to read the tea leaves on emerging indie-rock bills this year, this one is worth flagging. Fat, Evil Children are not being thrown into random support slots. These are rooms and pairings that reward bands with actual texture, not just a playlist-friendly chorus.
